Security Chute
Designed to be built into a column. Adds security to your column mounted mailbox and keeps your mail out of reach of unwanted hands. The mail drops down to a locking rear door for easy collection. The chute is made of 16 gauge powder coated steel and includes a separate compartment for outgoing mail. The newspaper box is not available with this option.

A note about metal casting:
Cast aluminum products are first poured in a sand mold that does not allow perfection in every detail. But that's the appeal of such castings. These "accidentals of art" lend an Old World charm to each piece that no artist could fashion intentionally. In effect, each one is a unique creation.

Mailbox Care & Maintenance
Many mailbox installations are in areas that expose the mailbox to road salt from snow/ice removal. This can be very damaging to the painted metal surface. Also, locations near the ocean expose the surface to highly corrosive salt air. Automobile exhaust, acid rain, and smog will also damage the painted surface. A periodic cleaning of the painted surface of your mailbox with a mild detergent, water and soft brush will help keep your mailbox looking like new. In addition, a clear spray (no buff) car wax can help protect the painted finish. This process is recommended 2-3 times a year if possible. This quick maintenance will help your mailbox last for many years to come.
